Regarding to option 5, "new MulticastSocket(...)" is not allowed.
The JSR 318 p.598, says , EJB can be used as a network socket client.
If the EJB is the client, it can instantiate a MulticaseSocket object and receive multicast messages from a socket.
The main point is to make sure the EJB is not serving as a server.
