"SOAP is a SOA protocol" may be the option as well.
According to Java Web Service Up and Running p.1, it says "SOAP originally stood for Simple Object Access Protocol, but by serendipity, now may stand for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Protocol."

No, SOA has nothing to do with a "protocol". It is a software architecture design pattern, or in other words it doesn't contain protocols.

On the other hand, if you use the SOAP "protocol" you can create a SOA implementation.

Explaination says
SOAP is not the only protocol to implement SOA.
What are the other protocols (other than SOAP ) to implement SOA ?

SOA is vendor, implementation, protocol neutral. SOA is an architectural concept that emphasizes on loose coupling, reusability, interoperability, flexibility, cost efficient, dynamic discoverability, according to Ivan's notes.
Web services (no matter SOAP based, Restful WS) are implemenation of this architectural concept.

To name a couple: WSDL and UDDI. SOAP alone doesn't implement a SOA.

In the light of this certification it is not important to know other protocols that can implement a SOA, but you can think of CORBA or Jini.
