About Question enthuware.ocpjp.v8.2.1551 :

Post by dr_astico »

in this question, and in question 1552 answers are in conflict (IMHO).
the same definition in the 5th option:

Code: Select all

new OpenOption[]{StandardOpenOption.READ, StandardOpenOption.SYNC}
in this question is considered not valid but in 1552 is considered valid.

maybe i have to try some code to figure this out.

any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

You are right. The combination works in practice but doesn't make any sense for the reason mentioned i.e. if the file is opened in READ mode, there is nothing to SYNC.

So the results are in conflict to underline the fact that the options couple is accepted at runtime but it doesn't make sense?

I guess but I don't think that is a good idea. I have updated the question bank to mark both as correct because of lack of any definitive text and the fact that it works in practice.
thank you for your feedback!

I have noticed the same thing and still the questions have the same answers as dr_astico pointed.

Not sure why it was not updated when I really did update it. I have updated it again and verified that it has been updated in the question bank on the website.
Sorry about that and thank you for your feedback!
