Summary
Standard Tests
- Mimic the real exam in terms of topic distribution, toughness
level, and time (Except Foundation Tests)
- Last Day/Unique Tests
- Questions in these tests are excluded from:
- Objective-wise tests, Practice tests, and Leitner tests.
- This ensures tests with completely unseen questions even if you
take non-standard tests
- Best to take near the end of your preparation.
- Start taking Standard Tests if you feel confident (well prepared)
to take the real exam.
- After taking the Test:
- Check the explanations for each question. Regardless you
answered correctly or not, because:
- You will find useful tips in the explanations, which can
clarify the concepts.
- You may realize the actual reasoning instead of getting the
answer correct by fluke.
- Identify the topics least scored
- Study those topics from any book
- Code some samples to test the concepts, if necessary
- Only after:
- you are comfortable with least scored topics should you go
ahead and attempt the next Test.
- The goal is to increase the scores on these topics in the
next Test.
- Consider yourself well prepared once you start passing standard
tests in first
attempt.
- Ignore score if you take
the same standard test again.
- If you are able to pass any of the standard test comfortably you
will pass the real test with flying colors!
Objective-wise Tests
- Useful when you are following a book and you want to solve
questions only from that topic after each chapter/topic/exam objective.
Practice Tests
- Useful to increase competency from beginner to expert. Best if
used after going through a book.
- Easy, Tough, Very Tough levels
- Reread relevant chapters of a book if you score less on a
topic.
- Most Missed Test
- Questions answered incorrectly the most by Enthuware users.
- Does not reflect real exam level. Take it only as a challenge.
- To use this test, you need internet connection because it
fetches the list of most missed questions dynamically from our server.
Custom Tests
- Can create customized tests under this node.
- Example:
- if you want questions on two topics
- Right click on Custom Tests node;
- Click on "Create New Test Criteria".
- Give a name to the Test Criteria (e.g. My Test on topic 1
and 2).
- it will open up a Criteria set up screen which is self
explanatory.
- Once you create this custom test criteria
- you can take tests on this criteria just like the other
tests.
- In fact, all other tests are nothing but pre-defined test
criteria!
Note
- All the questions delivered by various tests come from a single
question bank
- Thus, you can get questions that you've already seen.
- However:
- Standard Tests are
unique among themselves. i.e.
- Questions in one standard test are not repeated in any other
standard test
- They cover all the questions from the question bank.
- We do not recommend:
- taking Practice and Objective-wise tests for the same
reason that they use up the questions.
Leitner System
- Questions are grouped into four columns:
- Unlearned
- All the questions initially are present in this column.
- If you answer a question in this column correctly, it is
promoted to Level 01
- Level 01
- Answered Correctly:
- Answered Incorrectly:
- Level 02
- Answered Correctly:
- Answered Incorrectly:
- Learned
- New options:
- Questions Answered Incorrectly
- Includes those questions that were answered incorrectly, even
if they were subsequently answered correctly.
- Questions Never Answered Correctly
- Includes only those questions that were never answered
correctly.
- Both the options exclude the questions that were never
attempted.
- Leitner Status - is updated:
- When you take a test Standard, Objective-Wise,
Practice, Custom test

Getting Started
In
the "Test View" tree on the left, there are multiple categories of
tests - Standard Tests, Practice Tests, Objective wise Test, and
Custom Tests. Each category has multiple Tests. To take any of these
tests, just double click on the Test node. For example, double click
on Test 1 under Standard Test to start Test 1. You will be asked
to enter a name for this attempt. You can take any test any number of
times. Each attempt is showed right under the Test. For example,
if you take Test 1 with the name, First Attempt, you will see a
node named First Attempt under Test 1.
All tests under Standard Tests (except Foundation Tests, if present)
mimic the real test in terms of topic distribution, toughness level,
and time. Questions in Foundation Tests are meant to check only your basic knowledge and you should start with them.
A low score on a Foundation Test means that you need to go through a book before attempting other tests.
You may also see Unique Test or Last Day Test under standard tests.
Questions in these tests are excluded from Objective-wise tests, Practice tests, and Leitner tests.
This ensures that you will have at least one test with completely unseen questions even if you take non-standard tests.
Take the rest of the standard tests if you think you are well prepared for the real exam.
After taking the test, go through the explanations for each
question...even for the questions that you answered correctly. This is
because we try to put lot of useful information in the explanations,
which can help you understand the concept better. Identify the topics
in which you scored least and study those topics from any book. Develop
some sample programs to test out the concepts if necessary. Only
after you are comfortable with topics on which you scored least,
you should attempt the next test. Your goal is to increase the
scores on these topics on the next test. If you are able to pass all
the tests comfortably, you will pass the real test with flying colors!
Practice Tests: Some questions banks may also contain Practice Tests.
These are useful when you want to check your level of preparation. It
contains Easy, Tough, and Very Tough tests. It may also contain a
Most Missed Test. This test
contains questions that are answered incorrectly the most by all the users of
this question bank. To use this test, you need internet connection
because it fetches the list of most missed questions dynamically from
our server.
Objective-wise Tests
are useful when you are following a book and after each
chapter/topic/exam objective, you want to solve questions only from
that topic.
Finally, if you need something other than all the above types of tests, you can customize the tests under Custom Tests.
For example, if you want questions on two topics, just right click on
Custom Tests node and click on "Create New Test Criteria". Give a
name to the Test Criteria (e.g. My Test on topic 1 and 2). It will open
up a Criteria set up screen which is self explanatory. Once you create
this custom test criteria, you can take tests on this criteria just
like the other tests. In fact, all other tests are nothing but
pre-defined test criteria!
Note: All the questions delivered by
various tests come from a single question bank. Thus, if you take an
Easy Test and then take a Standard Test, you might get questions that
you've already seen. However, tests under Standard Tests are unique among themselves
(i.e. questions in one standard test are not repeated in any
other standard test) and cover all the questions from the question
bank. We do not recommend taking Practice and Objective-wise tests for the same reason
that they use up the questions.
Best of luck,
Enthuware Team.
