Actually, both options 1 and 3 are correct. I will not compile, plus it can't throw IOException.

That way, "Overriding method may choose not to throw any exception." is also correct but there is no overriding method given in the code. So before the question of exception arises, you need to see if there is any other error or not.

Not all the question on the exam will be so sneaky but yes, there are questions like that so you need to be prepared.
