Can anyone tell me the differences between OCP7 and OCP8? Only the lambdas? I passed OCA8 and don't know whether I should go for OCP7 or OCP8 (no books have been released about OCP8, so I'm thinking of studying for OCP7 and study the extra topics through the internet).

Yes, basically lambda expressions and the collection and i/o API changes that make use of lambdas and functional interfaces.
I don't think you can take OCPJP 7 because OCPJP 7 requires OCAJP 7 but you have OCAJP 8. You should check with Oracle about it.

I've contacted Oracle. For future reference, you were indeed correct. It's not possible to go from OCA8 to OCP7.
