Hi
Why is the following the wrong answer choice?
It will compile but will not throw any exception even if value is not equal to 10.
I understand why
It will throw a AssertionError if value is not equal to 10.
is the right answer choice.
Thanks.

Whenever you see a lower case "exception", you should assume that it includes all Throwables i.e. Errors as well as Exceptions.
So now, if "It will throw a AssertionError if value is not equal to 10." is correct, then the other one cannot be correct.
HTH,
Paul.

Ah, I see. Thanks a lot, Paul. Have a good weekend to you.

PS
Paul, where can I write a testimony on your website? Your question bank materials and this Q & A forum of yours are nothing short of phenomenal. Very helpful to me and I'm very grateful. I'm glad that I found your website. I would like to write a raving comment if you can give me a link. I'll take the Java Professional exam and then I'll write it. Hope you could give me some time to do so. Thanks again, Paul.

That is so nice of you to think about posting a review. You may post it on Java Ranch or on amazon :
https://www.amazon.com/Oracle-Certified ... ords=ocajp (although it is for OCAJP 8).
But most importantly, we are happy to know that you liked our product and services. We hope you will trust us for your preparation of other certification exams.
thank you and best of luck for your exam.
Paul.

In fact, Paul, I would come back to your site in a heart beat if I have any future needs for any exams, for which you may have developed question banks.
I thought your website is independently run but how come you have the affiliations with all these entities?

It is independent. We don't have affiliations with anyone else. JavaRanch is a popular site for certification aspirants so posting a review there would actually meet the purpose of posting a review. Same with amazon.

Ah, I see. I use JavaRanch as well but not as often as I should because the website is, shall I say, not too user-friendly and I can get by without being on there very much. It takes ages to find things or to post a question on that website. Everything is too cluttered. Every time I go on that website, I feel like a damsel in distress condition coming out.
No wonder I didn't know that website is popular for certification aspirants but I do know the authors of this book (and I own this book):
https://www.amazon.com/OCP-Certified-Pr ... entries*=0
are on that website. I think they help run that website. One of the co-authors Jeanne was very nice and very helpful though.
