It states that import statics was added in Java 7 but was in Java 5 i dont know if the bug i reported on the earlier pages about this same problem is fix on 1.18 build??

Yes, it was reported earlier and fixed in build 1.18 but this one that you have seen now is in the second place. Added to errata.

I am not sure. WIll ask the author, but most likely no because then we would have to mention others' countries also
