its very weird

OCP pdf of mister Deshmukh has 850 pages and only one short mention about this Function.identity without even any code example: "You may use Function.identity() method for this purpose as well." that's it, nothing else...

i don't get seriously why some questions are focused on very small details of the book

like Concurrency is a whole long chapter of the book and havent seen any questions about it in the first Standard test
havent seen any questions about nested classes, advanced switch, advanced exceptions but instead OCA exceptions...

And many theorical ambiguous questions about modules... damn seriously? module is outdated because of Spring Framework

1. Did you even read the complete statements?
"Note that the lambda word-> word implements a Function that returns the same value as the one that is passed to it. Such function is called an identity function. You may use Function.identity() method for this purpose as well."

So instead of using the lambda word -> word, you can use Function.identity(). There is nothing else to it. You can always ask for clarification here or write a small piece of code to test it out. But you have to read properly and not skip things while reading.

2. What an author focuses on in their book is up to them. They may feel that some topics require more discussion and some topics don't. That is why there are different books and different authors for the same subject. You can pick the one that you like. Just use another book.

3. Mock exams are developed based on what we believe is important for the test taker to pass the exam.
