I answered: java.util.List and it marked as wrong. Is period considered a special character? Perhaps you can specify in the question: "do not use package names" or something to that effect.

It does says, "(Do not uses spaces or other special characters)". But you are right, it should accept java.util.List as a correct answer as well.
