The question: You have developed a web application and *have packaged* it in a war file named sample.war

Than I'm deploying this sample.war. It means for me, that I'm uploading (placing, expanding, etc.) it into some app server. But META-INF folder is being created during the package phase I think. Even if I use jar tool, I have to specify M switch to disable creation of META-INF and manifest.

I think it worth rephrasing someway.

The options have now been rephrased to say, "...META-INF folder, if required, should be created in...".
