But Hot Potato happens when the MDB fails to consume the message and the message is redelivered again and again. The question statement has no such thing. It is not saying that the MDB has is failing to consume the messages.
Its just talking about the load remaining high, which I believe could still be high even if messages are consumed successfully, in case large computation is required in the MDB. Which more likely resembles the 'Conversational Bagage' anti pattern.
