Wouldn't it be more clear if the question mentions stateless session bean instead of just session bean.Q:A session bean cannot be passivated as long as any client has a reference to it.
A:Stateless session beans are never passivated.

The option is that way to make it a little harder. In the present form also, the option is wrong. The explanation is just providing additional information that stateless session beans are never passivated, so the question of whether there is any client referencing the bean does not arise.
