i find this generics chapter extremly long with many different rules and text for something that is not directly asked in OCP exam lol

Only section 16.2 is a little out of scope for the exam and you are right, this section is a bit long at 12 pages. But the rest is required for the exam.
If someone really wants to know the details, they are there otherwise, it is easy to skip. No?
