So, don't think that if something is not mentioned in the objectives then it will not be asked in the exam. That is why mock exams are helpful. Use the prevoius release version of Netbeans instead of nightly build. The nightly or R C version has issue with Java 11.

51 on first test is not a bad start but 57 on second test is not good because of lack of improvement. you need to read up on topics in which you scored less in the first test and only then take send test. Do that now before taking 3rd test. Your score should be more than 65% on 3rd test .

Only oracle can tell for sure, but from past experience, it will be at least a couple of years before they stop the Java 8 exams.

You can take either one. A lot of study material is available for OCA 8, so if you are a Java beginner, you may want to take OCA 8. Oracle has allowed even OCA 8 candidates to upgrade to OCP 11. So, you can take 1Z0-816 exam later to get OCP 11 certificate.

It is true that some of the questions have many options. We saw some questions (but only a few) had up to 7 options though. None with 8 😮. But its Oracle. Anything is possible 😀

Yes, this is important because many times we select correct answers for the wrong reasons.

You can take any test multiple times for understanding the concepts but you should not rely on the score of subsequent attempts. For example, even if you score 90% on second attempt, it means nothing. It tells nothing about your readiness for the exam.

Even if you are taking objective wise tests, there is still one unique test "Last Day Test" , which you can take to check your preparation level.

No, it should be taken after you are done with all your preparation. This is like the last check before you go for the real exam. To see where you stand.

I would suggest you to use the Leitner mode though instead of custom test. That is easier and quicker to use.

Please note that OCP 11 exam is a confusing term. There is no OCP 11 exam. There is OCP 11 Part 1 (1Z0-815) and there is OCP 11 Part 2 (1Z0-816). Both are called OCP.

Yes, books are important if you are a beginner. Otherwise, you can start with a couple of mocks and see what all you need to study/brush up. Then take the remaining mocks. Our explanations are very exhaustive. If you go through them, you will know all there is to know about a topic. If you want more explanation, just ask on the forum or google. Since, you have already passed the first exam, you know what to expect.

Ideally, after the first mock exam, your score should increase quite a bit on the next mock exam if you study the topics.

Not to scare you but OCP II is a lot tougher than OCA.

The thing with OCP 2 is that...it still has a lot of simple questions as well...but the tough ones are really tough. So, passing the exam is not that difficult but scoring about 70% is tough...above 80 or 90%....well, you have to work really hard for that :)
